THE BSI-NHC is a growing group of 15 advocates representing 18 states working individually for many years to raise the standard of living of marginalized black, brown, white, red, and yellow citizens. We have come together as an army to bring to the attention of this nation the plight of the underserved and offer 13 programs to lift their quality of life.
Those families living at or below the poverty level (37.9 million), 250,000 unemployed veterans and their families, and the 500,000 citizens entering and leaving prison each year returning to society and their families deserve our attention,
We seek a nation where all are created equal and endowed by their creator with inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

JOBS FOR PEACE
Brad Carson, LA County Deputy Probation Officer, Founder of Jobs Create Peace, and President of United Hood Nation in his presentation “Stopping the Violence and Crime in America” is based upon 35 years of proof of concept, prototype models, pilot programs that are best practices and evidenced-based.
Jobs Create Peace is the basic premise in the Framework of the Logic Model in “What Works” towards a solution to the spiritual, social, economic, and political root causes of the problem of stopping violence and crime in
America. The correlated and cross-correlated socio-economic factors identify “Ground Zero” as the nexus point of known communities plagued by high unemployment, education, poverty, and crime. The added variables of Age, Race, and Gender identify the targeted population within the targeted community.
THE SOLUTION:
Change two socio-economic factors from unemployment to Employment, and un-education to Education to the tipping point in which JOBS + EDUCATION will overcome CRIME and POVERTY for the targeted population within the targeted community every single time. We are not guessing “What Works” .
FIND OUT HOW IT WAS DONE!
“ It should be recognized and celebrated that in the City of Los Angeles, for the year 2007, LAPD reported that crime was the lowest in 40 years, making Los Angeles the second safest big city in the United States (Dailynews.com 01/03/08, and L.A. Watts Times, “LA Sees Drop in Gang-related Homicides”, October 4, 2007).

BSI Group Home Program Summary
Carolyn Kennedy, MSW, and her husband Dr. Kofi Agyapong, JD an Accountant developed the group home program, and she served as the Executive Director of The Brotherhood and Sisterhood International, a social service organization based in Silver Spring, Maryland for more than 20 years.
The primary project of the organization was providing group home services to vulnerable youth with dual diagnosis of mental illness and developmental disability. The homes were developed in the state of Maryland and referred to as Alternative Living Units (ALU) for children and youth.
She provided executive-level leadership in the development and operation of the ALU treatment homes serving children with very complex needs. The program provided one-on-one supervision for the children and training for both the staff and the parents on how to take care of the children and youth properly.
Operations of the ALUs included supervising the social work and nursing staff in the case management of services to the children and their families as well as the supervisors and caregivers for the children and youth. This was a very successful program that enabled the children to return home to their families when appropriate and when appropriate after 18 years of age go to an adult facility or when appropriate live on their own with a career path and employment. ADR NEW BEGINNINGS
We are called “New Beginnings” because we are different. We don’t lecture or minister, we believe that with experience-based and associative-learning methodologies, we can address the systemic causes of intolerance and prejudice. Words like Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity are today’s language. We learn from the past, but now we need a different approach if our future will be of cultural equality, understanding, and respect. Time is not on our side; we need to change how we address these problems now!
The idea is simple, when students spend time together, engaged in fun and interesting activities, they will naturally break down the walls of racism, anti-Semitism, and other hate-based ideologies. They can reorient their preconceived negative stereotyping towards people of a difference. Additionally, as they learn about people who have contributed to society in significant and positive ways, students of the same heritage can feel a sense of pride, and students of different heritages can gain respect for that student and their cultural history. We call this Pride and Respect by Association. website: adr-nb.org
JUNETEENTH FAMILY NO LONGER BOUND
\The concept for No Longer Bound is to provide our audience with a historical overview of Juneteenth that will give a sense of belonging, gratification, and understanding of the sacrifice that was made to end slavery in the United States of America. The audiences will further understand the contributions of arts and culture from the African-American experience.
African dance, drumming, song, jazz, spoken word, and rap are the ingredients that make up this musical extravaganza. The cast will tell The Story of Juneteenth with cultural and historical integrity. The story takes us from Mother Africa through the ending of slavery through the celebration and victory of Juneteenth becoming a national holiday.
The Philadelphia Juneteenth Family, Inc. (PJFI) is a 501(c)3 arts and culture organization that is dedicated to promoting and educating our communities about the significance of the Juneteenth holiday and its importance to the African diaspora. Our organization prides itself on creating quality programming that will enhance cultural awareness and cross-cultural experiences for the Philadelphia community and beyond.
The Juneteenth family is built upon four pillars: educational, spiritual, cultural, and political. These pillars are the foundation of our organization and have led us to create an array of programming and projects to raise awareness of Juneteenth and its significance today and into the future.
We partnered with the African Culture Alliance of North America (ACANA) and out of the wisdom of that partnership we realized that Juneteenth is more than an event, more than a celebration, we realized it is a symbol. It is a symbol of unity, remembrance, tradition, and freedom that should be shared from an educational, spiritual, cultural, and political perspective.

BMCCP’s
The concept is to provide a process of healing and forgiveness for crimes committed by felons. It places a value on taking responsibility for their criminal actions that made them a victim as well as those who were victimized. The research helped develop The Four Steps to Victim Recovery: Self-inventory, Forgiveness, Self-esteem, and Spiritual Awareness.
With this process, Project Prosperity is now offering a scope of services to
violence prevention, workforce development, and trauma-centered organizations that offer programs to the formerly incarcerated, veterans, and youth at risk. The scope of services includes Project Prosperity panel discussions and workshops, victim impact life skills series, workforce development job placement and retention services, Project Prosperity legal evaluation, and court assistant services.
Project Prosperity is a viable and needed concept to reduce recidivism and
provide a path of success for individuals who desire to be productive and
contributing citizens to and for society.

ROBOTICS
THE PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF SCIENCE, ENGINEERING, TECHNOLOGY ART AND MATH MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOLS (STEAM)
We would need funding for supplies and registration on the state and National levels. The supplies need to include laptops for coding and electronics for the robots.
The start-up cost for a First Lego League would be around $2500. Most supplies can be reused each year but registration and current challenges would need to be refunded each year. Ages 4th - 8th grade
First Tech Challenge- $5000 to $7000 start-up. Would need computers and electronics along with build kits. Build kits can be reused but the registration and challenge field has to be updated each year.
Suggest salary and full expenses for a coach to travel and stay with a team for a week with daily practices. Weekly mentor zooms would need to occur after that initial period. There will need to be a mentor/coach who can attend the meetings weekly.
If the team advances beyond qualifier would be useful for the assigned coach to travel with the team to the state level to help. This would be helpful on both levels.
Students in the coaches team would also be assigned as mentors and help with outreach.

SONS
AND DAUGHTERS OF AFRICA
Established
1970
Summary of Program by Dr. Ezekiel Akinola
My goal is to use my skills to create employment among the youths in underserved or underdeveloped communities in Houston and other communities in Texas State, thereby improving the living conditions of the youths in the State.
Jobs would be created for the youths through farming, education/training, marketing/trading, manufacturing, technology development, etc. Hence, these will reduce unemployment and eliminate gang/hooliganism in the State. It will reduce gun violence sometimes caused by depression due to the inability to get something done. The youths will be empowered and mobilized to be self-employed and be able to finance themselves without relying on the government and/or families, and not involved in crime.
